Mall at Marathon in latest upgrade

THE Mall at Marathon yesterday announced that Phase Three of its construction upgrade will begin this month with renovations to the wing that extends from Centre Court to AID and Clarks.

The area known as 'The Strip Center' - the outdoor wing that extends from Dairy Queen to Outdoor Sportsman - will also be enhanced, while a new entrance will be created to replace the existing one facing Marathon Road.

The Mall said the capital improvement project was part of its multi-phased renovation and enhancement programme that began in Spring 2015.

It last year remodelled the wing from Center Court to Kelly's House & Home, and the corridors adjacent to QBC Cellular & Electronics and BTC. Ian Fleming, architect at Bruce LaFleur & Associates, said: "We are very pleased with the general contractors, Cavalier Construction.

The retailing enhancements will bring modern updates to this community centre.

"Additional focus will be placed on the retail stores within the construction zone to undertake the installation of new prototype storefronts that will complement the overall ambience of the Mall."

Parts of Cavalier's work will be done after store-closing hours to keep all outlets in the construction zone open. "Although The Mall will be undergoing major changes during the renovation, all stores in the construction zone will remain open for business", said Carla Moss-Fitzgerald, its marketing co-ordinator. "The ongoing capital improvements are just another way that we continue to deliver on our commitment to provide a quality shopping experience to our shoppers."
