A 32-year-old man was arraigned on murder and drug-related charges in a Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Dwight Morrison, of Shirlea Lane off Shirley Street, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney in connection with the death of Troy Ferguson, alias Troy Cash.

He was also charged with one count of possession of dangerous drugs, and one count of conspiracy with intent to supply dangerous drugs.

Morrison pleaded not guilty to the drug-related charges, and the matter was adjourned to March 27.

He was not required to enter a plea on the murder charge and the matter was adjourned to April 19 for service of a VBI.

Morisson was remanded to the BDCS in the interim.

It was alleged that Morrison intentionally caused the death of Mr Ferguson by means of unlawful harm.

Police found Mr Ferguson’s body on Dorsett Street in Fox Hill with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, according to reports.

At the time, he was identified as 50-year-old Troy Alexander Cash, of Dorsett Street.

Morisson is represented by attorney Jumo Campbell.
