THE trial of three men accused of a double murder in Grand Bahama will resume on Tuesday morning in the Freeport Supreme Court.

Paul Belizaire, Devaughn Hall, and Kevin Dames are accused of the murders and armed robbery of a couple in Deadman’s Reef on September 12, 2015.

The trio were initially arrested and charged with two other men, Alan Alcime and Virgil Hall, who both accepted plea deals with the Office of the Attorney General to testify as witnesses for the Crown.

Barry and Sheena Johnson were discovered shot to death at their triplex apartment in Deadman’s Reef. They had been robbed of a set of keys and their truck.

After the prosecution closed its case in late December, the trial was adjourned for a month. The accused men were expected to appear on January 22, but were not present in court and the matter was adjourned to today.
