THE Bahamas is getting its "mojo" back, according to Royal Bank of Canada's (RBC) top Caribbean executive, who said: "We're excited about The Bahamas' prospects."

Speaking at RBC's recent Client Service Centre launch, Rob Johnston added: "We are committed to being a part of this country for many years to come, and we believe in some small way that my presence can provide additional support to local leadership.

"We are excited about The Bahamas' prospects. We're seeing it growing and returning, and getting its 'mojo' back. The Bahamas continues to be a destination of choice for high net worth clients around the world. We want to be a part of the the growth, and meeting the needs and opportunities these people have."

Mr Johnston continued: "We pay close attention to the markets we serve. We think the prospects are strong in tourism, and we have seen some major investments. The demand for capital is high. Whenever our clients have confidence it's a wonderful tell tale of what's to come."

RBC has added 18 jobs through the launch of its Client Advice Centre on New Providence, which was unveiled at its Carmichael Road branch last Wednesday.

Clients can call the Client Advice Centre when they have questions about their accounts, to learn about products RBC offers, or to access other banking services. The Client Advice Centre in The Bahamas will serve RBC clients in The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos Islands.
