THE trial of three men accused of double murder and armed robbery in Grand Bahama has been adjourned until March 19.

Paul Belizaire, Devaughn Hall, and Kevin Dames face two counts of murder and one count of armed robbery of a Deadman’s Reef couple.

Barry and Sheena Johnson were shot dead at their triplex apartment on September 12, 2015. They were robbed of a set of keys and their GMC truck. Mr Johnson was employed as a supervisor at the Freeport Container Port and his wife was a teacher at the Eight Mile Rock High School.

Two co-defendants Allan Alcime and Virgil Hall, initially charged along with the trio, accepted plea deal with the Office of the Attorney General testifying as witnesses for the Crown. Both men pled guilty to the armed robbery and are serving time in prison.
