TWO men were charged with attempted murder in Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Kevin Quentin Johnson, 21, of Sunlight Cottage, and Marcus Eeffrand, 24, of Highbury Park, were accused of intentionally and unlawfully attempting to cause the death of a man on March 4.

The pair were not required to enter a plea to the charges before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt and the matter was adjourned to May 3 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.

In other court matters on the same day, a father and son were charged with robbery, kidnapping and two counts of extortion.

Clive Schroeter, 47, of Lady Slipper Avenue, and Clyde Schroeter, 25, of Village Road, are accused of kidnapping a man at his Faith Avenue home, and robbing him for $300 on March 4.

The pair were also accused of extorting $250 and $400 from two men in separate incidents.

The two were not required to enter a plea and were remanded to prison until the next hearing on May 3.
