Who is Foulkes kidding?

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I read with horror, the comments attributed to the Minister of Labour Dion Foulkes, in regards to the clear violation of The Pointe and their Heads of Agreement on the employees on that construction site. For those of us that have been around long enough, we know Dion Foulkes these comments are of no surprise to us.

What is a surprise is, since those comments, there has been silence from our Prime Minister. Our Prime Minister who took a bold stance against the Chinese in his campaign to become leader of this country. Now, Hubert Minnis is quiet. Dr. Minnis, this is your time to show what real leadership looks like. If the Right Honourable Hubert Ingraham were in office, Dion Foulkes’ resignation letter would’ve been on his desk by 5pm on Friday, 4th, May 2018. He would not have allowed a Minister to boldly tell the people of The Bahamas that he is derelict in his duties and allow him to remain in his cabinet.

Dr Minnis, your support in this country is languishing. Stand up and show The Bahamian people that you are a different type of leader. Show them that it really is, “the people’s time”. Otherwise, we must conclude that there is very little difference between you and Perry Gladstone Christie, and that weak leadership is here once again. We voted out a weak Prime Minister and we thought we were voting in someone with strength. We wait for you to prove us wrong Dr Minnis.

A DISAPPOINTED BAHAMIAN
