The Church of God of Prophecy has wrapped up its holistic National Evangelism Conference which had the goal of providing a platform for networking in ministry, to educate, inspire and equip believers for effective ministry.

Over the past two decades it has been held under the direction of Minister Dr Barbara F Williams, national director of Evangelism & Home Missions.

The National Evangelism Conference has been hosted annually at the end of April, and more recently, once every two years.

This year, for the first time, the conference hit three islands consecutively, namely New Providence, Long Island and Abaco.

It featured a presentation by Pastor Maurice Simms on "Music and Evangelism" and musical renditions by the the National Children's Choir.

Believers from all over were invited to attend the conference.

"Attendees were challenged to respond to God's call, to be sensitive to His Spirit, to be relevant, cohesive and coherent with regard to employing various music styles to evangelism and reach each audience and to enhance and not detract from the main focal message. The National Children's Choir sang a capella on Friday and blessed the house with a selection appropriate for the season and the message of Calvary," said Minister Daren Seymour.

Those in attendance were also told of the importance of godly principles and holiness to their well-being.

"We were certainly enriched by the wisdom grace and experience of our panellists, Bishops (Rudolph) Bowe and (Gersham) Pratt and Minister (Jarenda) Rahming. Our hearts were tickled as we digested the serious message of being candidates for God's service as the drama brought the message home," said Minister Seymour.

The conference, now in its 19th year, applauded the exemplary service of Minister Dr Barbara F Williams, who will officially demit her office in March 2019.

The conference moved to Long Island last weekend at the Burnt Ground COGOP in Dundas Town, Abaco.
