SWD Boys remain undefeated in Oldtimers Softball Association

WHILE the SWD Boys remained undefeated in Division A of the New Providence Oldtimers Softball Association, the Blue Postal Sharks suffered their first loss in Division B.

In games played over the weekend in the Archdeacon William Thompson Softball Park at the Southern Recreation Grounds, SWD knocked off the Masqueraders 14-4, the Yelrom Home Boys upset the Blue Postal Sharks 8-7 and the Q-Club Divers clobbered the DKS Crusaders 25-10.

Masqueraders 4

Richard Bastian had a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate with two runs batted in to lead SWD as they improved their Division A front-running unblemished record to 4-0.

The Masqueraders remained winless at 0-3. Benson Young was the winning pitcher and Kevin Munnings was tagged with the loss.

Home Boys 8,

Sharks 7

Steven Morley went 3-for-4 with a home run as Yelrom nipped Blue Postals. Nelson Farrington was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in a losing effort.Sidney Thomas was the winning pitcher and Keino Stuart was the loser.

Divers 25,

Crusaders 10

Ron Demeritte enjoyed a 4-for-5 day with a homer and 2 RBI to pace Q-Club. Stephen Brown was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI in loss. Lester Stuart was winning pitcher and Tyrone Pratt was the loser.
