Bahamian are invited to get ready for a "gospel explosion", as Aldo Stubbs and The Legacy Continues team present their annual concert this Sunday.

Under the theme "Let All God People Praise Him. One God. One Stage. One Sound," the event is set to take at the Church of God Southland Cathedral on Soldier Road, beginning at 7pm

Performers will include COG Independence, COG Southland Cathedral, COGOP Minnie Street, COGOP TCC mass choir, COGOP Baillou Hill Road, Pastor Trent Davis and the St Michael's Methodist Chorale, RTOP youth choir, Rashad Cunningham and the EP Roberts Primary School Choir, Rashad Lynes, and Adrianna Munnings.

Held in honour of Aldo's late father, Minister Leon J Stubbs Sr, who was once the leader and songwriter of The Honourable Region Bells, the event is expected to shine a light on the late Mr Stubbs contributions within the gospel community of the Bahamas and beyond.

As a young believer, emerging artist, songwriter and upcoming promoter, Aldo said that while it is no easy task putting these events together - and there are many days where he would like to give up - when it all comes to fruition it feels like it was a vision sent by the Heavenly Father.

"It is a vision that I believe the Heavenly Father wants to see happen for His glory, and His glory alone. I know with God I can do all things, and it is Him that strengthens me. I am asking the public to come out and support this awesome kingdom work. The concert is free but you can bring a love offering. This night is geared to be an awesome night where various youth choir and groups, talented singers and musicians will come together under one roof praising the true and living God," said Aldo.

While his teenage years were a difficult time of him, Aldo said he has fond memories of being a part of a church choir. Back in the 1980s and 90s, he said, youth choirs were "the thing", and his youth choir within The Church of God of Prophesy Minnie Street had many opportunities to perform at local concerts, churches and special events.

"Also back in the day, before our pastor preached, the youth choir was called on to do a selection. Regrettably, I have personally seen the youth choirs pushed aside as praise teams took the task of setting the atmosphere for worship. God inspired me to do this event because we need to get our youths back on track," said Aldo.
