PI resort tells locals to vacation at home

A Paradise Island-based resort is encouraging Bahamians to stay at home when looking for a vacation escape.

Comfort Suites is inviting residents to stay at the all-suite hotel. Yasmine Strachan, its director of sales, said that given the possible stress associated with international travel, Bahamians ought to take advantage of quality, affordable hospitality options at home.

"At Comfort Suites Paradise Island we cater to the needs of all our guests, whether they are travellers from destinations such as Asia and Europe, our neighbours in the United States and Canada, or our family and friends right here in The Bahamas," she said. "We are especially pleased when our fellow Bahamians visit with us and get a full appreciation of the wonderful hospitality that is offered to them within The Bahamas."

Ms Strachan added that Comfort Suites Paradise Island offers meeting room space, where small local groups can hold business meetings, social events, church gatherings, family reunions and birthday celebrations.

"We are well prepared to host specially-tailored local Bahamian and international groups," she said, confirming that all guests receive full access to the facilities at Atlantis and its casino.
