A 44-year-old man awaiting trial for the alleged assault of a woman near a Paradise Island parking lot earlier this month has been granted bail in the Supreme Court.

Romeo Cartwright, who was employed at the Atlantis resort at the time of the incident, appeared before Justice Bernard Turner on Wednesday and was given a bond of $5,000 with two sureties. Prosecutors have alleged Cartwright attacked a woman during an argument near the Paradise Island parking lot.

Multiple videos and photos of the incident went viral on social media shortly after the incident.

A 24-second clip of the incident featured a woman lying on the wet ground, with what appears to be a stream of blood flowing from her head.

The camera then pans to a man dressed in black.

The person recording the video alleges this man is the woman's attacker.

Cartwright was arraigned on a single charge of assault earlier this month, entering a plea of not guilty. He returns to court for trial on September 18.
