BAHA MAR yesterday said bookings across its three properties continue to “exceed our expectations”, as it heads into the Easter holiday weekend with occupancies in the “90 percent range”.

The multi-billion dollar resort development is set to celebrate its second anniversary on April 21, and a spokesman said: “The Easter Holidays are fast approaching and bookings continue to exceed our expectations across all three properties.

“As our hotel brands greatly differ in size and appeal to a variety of travellers, we are fortunate to report occupancy in the 90 percent range for SLS, Grand Hyatt and Rosewood.”

They added: “Baha Mar is about to celebrate its second anniversary on April 21, and we are thrilled about the exceptional response received from international guests as well as the local community. The festive season of 2018, as well as the first quarter of 2019, have been extremely successful for the resort and the trend continues straight into the summer months.

“Events such as the global wedding summit, Engage!, and the Baha Mar showdown in June are adding additional layers of brand awareness and exposure on an international level and contribute to a promising outlook for the remainder of the year.”

The Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) said earlier this week that passenger estimates are projected to exceed Easter 2017 and 2018, with airport officials encouraging the travelling public to allow for sufficient processing times on travel days and to stay tuned to NAD’s social media channels and communicate directly with airlines for important travel updates.
