AFTER returning home Team Bahamas was recognised for their efforts at the 2019 Fed Cup in Lima, Peru.
The team ended up on top of Pool B and played in the tennis finals against Peru. Despite falling to the host country, Team Bahamas left an indelible impression with their splendid matchplay.
Two members of the team fielded by the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association, Danielle Thompson and Sydney Clarke, are pictured with Prime Minister Hubert Minnis and Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Lanisha Rolle along with other parliamentarians.
The two other members of the team, Sierra Donaldson and captain/player Kerrie Cartwright, returned to the United States.
