The Life and Legacy of Charles C Smith II

Venue: Bahamas Historical Society, Elizabeth Avenue

For nearly 30 years, from 1970 until his death on February 16, 1999, Rev Charles C Smith II was pastor of Zion Baptist Church. The book “Charles C Smith II: Life and Legacy”, written by his wife C Jacqueline Smith, will be highlighted during tonight’s event.

Worship Expressions Through the Arts

Date/Time: Sunday, April 28, at 8pm

Venue: Epic Church, Summerwinds Plaza

Celebrate with performing artists Carlisa Bell, Averia Rolle, Shaquille Hanna, Alexander “Stacs” Hepburn and Worshippers United. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Faith United Annual Steak Out and Mini Fair

Date/Time: Saturday, April 27, from 11am to 5pm

Venue: Faith United Missionary Baptist Church

Join the Family of Faith for steak dinners for $12 and chicken dinners for $12. There will be an Aliv bus on-site and a kids corner.

St Gregory’s Spring Festival

Date/Time: Saturday, April 27, from 12noon to 8pm

Venue: The Parish of St Gregory The Great, Carmichael Road

A fun-filled fair for the entire family. Please note there will be a wet slide for the kids, so bring a towel and change of clothes for the little ones.

Sixth Annual Marriage Conference

Date/Time: Thursday and Friday, April 25&26, at 7pm and Saturday, April 27, at 10am

Venue: Church of God, Independence Drive

Hosted by Bishop Joseph and Andrea Smith, the SWAT (Submission, Wholeness, Acceptance, Trust) conference this year takes place under the theme “All In”, exploring God’s will for marriage and other relationships. Tonight’s topic is “Committed to Singleness”; Friday’s subject will be “Committed to Our Spouse”, and then the Saturday break-out sessions will be “Team Work Makes The Dream Work”, “Fighting Fair” and “Top 5 Marital Needs”.
