Clarke eases into doubles finals, singles semi-finals in ITF Under-18 Tournament

SYDNEY Clarke eased her way into the girls’ doubles finals and singles semi-finals in the International Tennis Federation’s Under-18 Tournament yesterday in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

In the doubles semi-finals, Clarke and partner Mia Yabuta from Japan won over the team of Sanaa Hewitt and Gabrielle Leslie from Barbados 6-0, 6-3 and will face the Barbados duo of Chloe Weekes and Hannah Chambers in the finals today.

Clarke and Yabuta are playing as the No.1 seed and will be matched up against Weeks and Chambers, the No.2 seeded team.

On the singles run, Clarke is playing well and will face Jade Marie from France. Clarke is hoping to book her ticket to the finals with a win over the French today in the semi-s.

The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Clarke on another spectacular performance at the ITF U18 platform.

Clarke is hoping to add to her ITF championships, the last she won here in the Bahamas.
