Disney project a done deal

EDITOR, The Tribune.

We saw some funny things, trying to be engineered earlier - remember an NGO group wanting to have a hearing with Government, with their concept and they had no legal attachment or MOU or Agreement subject to approval, but they pushed and failed.

Suspect that it is the same NGO’s, who are trying again with this Petition? Disney obtained Government approval – have signed an HOA with the government and presumably have completed the purchase of the land, from the private owner...note private owner.

This is dun over with - finished - approved, etc.

What to me is important is that we have to be assured that all, the retail except Disney Trade Marked material shops, are all operated by Bahamians. Is the operation side of this destination resort, incorporated as a Bahamian company? If not why not? I want Business License fees - VAT from the spend, as otherwise all we will get is maybe 3-400 employees. This should be the guidelines for all of these island cruise resorts, none excluded.

It concerns me that Virgins’ new boat carrying 2,700 passengers, will use Bimini beach north of Resort World. Got to ask, that is a lot of people on that small beach!
