A male resident of West End was charged with arson in the Eight Mile Rock Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Michael David Russell, 51, of Bank Lane, appeared before Magistrate Gwendolyn Claude, and pleaded guilty to the charge of arson in connection with an incident that occurred on December 10.
The judge ordered Russell to pay $3,000 as compensation to the complainant. He was also ordered to return to court on February 27, 2020.
Failure to appear would result in a prison sentence.
