TWO men are in hospital following separate shooting and stabbing incidents, police said.

The first incident occurred on Sunday, shortly before 6pm. Police said a man was involved in an altercation with another male on Newbold Street off Blue Hill Road which resulted in the male producing a sharp object, stabbing him. EMS were called to the scene and transported the man to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Then shortly after 10pm on Sunday, two males who are known to each other were involved in an altercation on Francis Avenue, which resulted in one of the men producing a knife stabbing the other, and the other male producing a firearm and shooting the other man. Both men were transported to hospital where they are listed in serious but stable condition.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
