The game is up for us all

EDITOR, The Tribune.

We don’t know who the lucky hog, or hogs are, who come to The Downtown Nassau Trough each year, shoving and pushing all the other lesser pigs aside, as they slop up everything they can during the last two weeks of each commercial year.

We don’t even know if it/they pay anything into the public purse at all, such as the other pigs have to do, by way of real property tax, import duties, and Value Added Tax, but hopefully our DPM is keeping an eye on that.

It won’t be long though, to be sure, when the cancer that has eaten through Bay Street, east of East Street, metastasizes and eats up everything west of East Street and then the powers that be will be happy, and we can have Junkanoo every night of the year.

Even the occasional protest march over this or that would be fine because nobody will be getting off the cruise ships by then. There will be nothing for them to see or do.

Minister D’Aguilar speaks of upping our game. I wonder if he passed through Bay Street during these last two weeks? Yes, our Game is Up Sir!
