Two New Year babies welcomed into the world

Doctors Hospital celebrated the promise of a new year by proudly welcoming two precious new lives into the world.

Through its partnership with Lowe’s Wholesale Drug Agencies Ltd, Doctors Hospital presented the first baby girl and baby boy born in its facility in 2019 with special gift baskets overflowing with baby products.

On January 2, Miranda and Damaine Pratt of Abaco were thrilled to welcome their daughter, Ariya Monae Pratt, into the world.

Mrs Pratt said of her experience" “It was truly a stress-free stay. The nurses were great and everything was on time.”

Just eight hours later, Natasha Adderley and Donald Adderley Sr of New Providence welcomed their son, Donald Adderley Jr. Mrs Adderley was also pleased with the care she received. She said, according to a press release from the hospital, “The nurses were extremely helpful and I had an awesome experience.”

Doctors Hospital strives to make sure that each maternity patient has that same quality experience and ensure that patients are given the best care, the hospital noted.

“Each mother-to-be is assigned a dedicated nurse who is a trained, experienced midwife,” said Patricia Brown, the maternity room coordinator for the hospital. “Throughout their stay, the nurses take time with the parents to teach topics related to caring for their infants. Our nurses cover everything from bathing the baby and changing diapers to bottle and breast feeding. We make sure that new parents know the basics before they leave the hospital.”
