Coast Guard flies cruise ship worker to safety

AN employee on a cruise ship was rescued by the US Coast Guard some 200 miles off Nassau in the Bahamas, according to international reports.

7 News Miami reported that Coast Guard service members airlifted a 43-year-old worker from the cruise ship “after something had lodged in the man’s throat.”

The worker was transported to a hospital in Nassau for treatment, according to the report. It is unclear when the incident occurred.
