Heats Athletics track club compete in junior nationals

THE 10-member team of the Grand Bahama Heats Athletics track club was recently in Nassau to compete in the Junior Nationals.

One of the star players, Terrence Jones, was part of the 10-member team that participated. Terrance holds the 2019 Junior National Championship in 400 metres, is a 2019 CARIFTA gold medallist in 400m, and 2019 CARIFTA bronze medallist in 200m.

Other members of the team that participated: Nastario Williams (Junior National Bronze Medallist in 100 metres), Travis Joseph (Junior National Silver Medallists in High Jump), Junan Rigby (Penn Relays 4x100 Relay champion), Shaquille Higgs (Collegiate 100m & 200m Record Holder), Johiem Dixon (Junior National 400m Finalist), Damico Austin (Junior National 200m Finalist), Terran Jones (Junior National 200m finalist), Blake Bartlett (Open Nationals 100m Finalist) and Romeo McKenzie (2017 Carifta 100m finalist).

The team was joined by coaches John Ingraham, Kenrick Hanna and Jason Larrimore. During their time in Nassau, the team stayed at Breezes Resort & Spa.
