Service quality win for Freeport firm

A Freeport-based small business has been recognised by the world’s largest travel platform for the quality of its customer service.

Island Yogurt co-owners, Paul and Kimberley Brown, received a 2019 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. This is awarded to businesses based on consistently great reviews received on TripAdvisor.

Kimberley Brown said: “We are very humbled to be recognised because we pride ourselves on delivering the best customer experience to everyone who walks into Island Yogurt. We know that customer service is critical for the success of our business and the economy of Grand Bahama.”

Island Yogurt, which launched in 2012 and is located in the Port Lucaya Marketplace, provides fresh frozen yogurt in a self-serve format along with an array of toppings.

To qualify for the TripAdvisor award, a business must maintain an overall rating of at least four out of five; have a minimum number of reviews; and be listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

Paul Brown said: “This is our first time being recognised by TripAdvisor and it feels really good. We now belong to a prestigious group of Grand Bahama businesses being globally recognised for excellent customer service and quality products.”

The co-owners added that the award will help showcase their business to local residents, tourists and international visitors who use TripAdvisor to research and select the best eateries in Freeport.

Island Yogurt has a loyal, reliable customer base, which the Browns believe is one of the reasons why they were awarded the Certificate of Excellence. “We give God thanks for this award. We are very grateful to each of our customers who graciously support our business and know that without them, none of this would be possible,” said Kimberley Brown. “Together, we all achieved this and we humbly say, thank you.”
