This new breed of drivers on the streets of New Providence have no regards for safety and some definitely do not know the rules of the road. They pull out of corners when vehicles are only a few feet away from them. They speed up the center of the road when there’s traffic and just cut back into the lane without signal or warning and they load these pint- size, gremlin cars without oversized passengers and attempt to fly. These small cars are very fast but lose control easily, especially when the brakes are applied at high speed. They become airborne and some do a number of flips either ejecting passengers or trapping them before coming to a stop. Drivers Ed needs to be updated.

For real, and obviously not only on New Providence. Perhaps this new breed of drivers need a new breed of police!

The penalties must me made much harsher. They are ridiculously less than a slap on the wrist. The driver who killed my son got away with a $9,000.00 fine and a years probation from driving - which I have heard from his neighbours he ignored by the following week.

If you look at the state of these Out Island roads .......... it is amazing that we do not have 10 fatalities each week
