A Bahamian law firm has been honoured as 2019’s Shipping and Maritime Firm of the Year in the Lawyers World awards.
Kenra Parris-Whittaker, a partner in ParrisWhittaker, a Freeport-based boutique law firm, said: “We remain delighted that our work is recognised by international bodies. We are passionate about the development of maritime law globally, but we are delighted when we can be a part of the select few that help shape the maritime legal landscape.”
ParrisWhittaker advises clients ranging from individual crew members to major international shipping corporations. It deals with matters involving personal injury suits, vessel arrests and maritime lien disputes. The award was presented yesterday.
