Press the button on chronic radio callers

Editor, The Tribune

Today on one of the radio stations around noon the listening public had to endure one chronic caller and an ex-politician in full flight talking total gibberish.

The chronic caller as usual was promoting the craziest concepts as if he’d won the Noble Prize in Economics while the ex-politician criticised his party and decisions made by the cabinet in which he served, taking no responsibility.

Producers of these talk shows need to be considerably more liberal in the use of the button which would cut these folks off.

It is unfair on the listening public to hear such rubbish - totally unfounded and lacking any sane economics. The chronic caller never stops day-to-day calling in with his rubbish theories.

While talking about talk shows, there is one on TV starting at 4pm - surely URCA must object to the ‘n’ word constantly being used. If they don’t then something is wrong. If a Bahamian caucasian was to go on air constantly using that ‘n’ word he would be off the air in half a second, so why is this permitted? Does URCA ever listen?
