The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) yesterday said it has added seven new listings to its investment funds roster.

The newly-listed funds are: Patrimondial Fund Ltd; The A Series Fund Ltd, SAC; UCAP AA Leverage Fund Ltd – Class A Shares; UCAP AA Leverage Fund Ltd – Class B Shares; UCAP Asia Fund Series Ltd, SAC Japanese Rising Sun Shares; UCAP Asia Fund Series Ltd, SAC Global Most Admired Companies Shares; UCAP Asia Fund Series Ltd, SAC Global Sector Dynamics Shares; White Conch Fund Ltd; World Invest Fund Ltd; World Opportunity Fund Ltd

All seven are open-ended mutual funds with subscriptions and redemptions carried out by the relevant fund’s administrator. The funds are incorporated as International Business Companies (IBCs) under Bahamian law and are licensed under the Investment Funds Act 2003.

Ivan Hooper, chief executive of The Winterbotham Trust Company, which brought the funds to BISX, said: “We continue to advocate for the listing of funds on BISX, and publishing fund information and pricing. On this occasion we have sponsored the listing of seven licensed funds with diverse investment objectives.

“Working together with UCAP Bahamas, investment manager for these funds, we hope that we are able to continue sponsoring further funds in the future. As the largest fund administrator by number of funds in The Bahamas, listing is a key component of our offering. A BISX listing is a key enhancer to this offering and our ability to attract funds to The Bahamas.”

Keith Davies, BISX’s chief executive, added: “We are happy that our first listings of 2019 included multiple funds from one of our key mutual fund partners. Winterbotham is an original shareholder of BISX, and has also supported the exchange and this jurisdiction by creating value added offerings for their clients.

“We are happy to be a part of their ability to offer these additional options to their clients, and to allow their clients to benefit from the connection to a regulated exchange.”

The Winterbotham Trust Company served as the BISX sponsor member that brought the funds to BISX. UCAP Bahamas is the investment manager, and The Winterbotham Trust Company has been appointed to serve as the funds’ administrator.
