New Providence Modified Pitch Softball League action heats up

THE New Providence Modified Pitch Softball League continued its action over the weekend at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.

Smokin Rams 14

Alcott Forbes got the win over Bradley Cash on the mound.

Philip Johnson went 2-for-6, scored three runs and drove in two runs. Eugene Bain and Mark Taylor both went 3-for-5 with Bain scoring two runs, driving in four runs and ripping a pair of home runs, while Taylor scored two runs.

Jamal Scavella helped out by going 2-for-5, scored three runs and drove in one run on a homer.

For the Smokin Rams, Rodney Forbes went 3-for-5, scored two runs and drove in three runs along with a pair of home runs. Kilo Kemp and D’Kyle Rolle both went 3-for-4 with Kemp scoring three runs and drove in four runs with two home runs, while Rolle scored two runs and drove in one run along with a homer.

Garfield Bethel secured the win over Ellis Adderley on the mound.

Stephen Russell went 2-for-4, scored three runs and drove in one run. Thomas Davis was a perfect 3-for-3, scored three runs and drove in two runs along with a homer. Eugene Pratt, Austin Hanna, and Renaldo Knowles all went 2-for-3. Pratt scored three runs and drove in five runs with a pair of home runs, Hanna scored two runs and drove in three runs along with a homer and Knowles scored two runs and drove in one run.

Smokin Rams 18, Mighty Mitts 8: D’Kyle Rolle got the win while Dehone Murray tagged with the loss on the mound. Wegmond and Kilo Kemp were both went 3-for-3 with Kemp scoring three runs and drove in one run on a homer and Wegmond scored two runs and drove in four runs along with a homer.
