Christmas in October is no way to do business

EDITOR, The Tribune

Bahamas Paradise Cruises…Didn’t Government cancel the Nassau-US-Florida leg because of objection from the Chamber of Commerce and the detrimental effect the service was having?

Back again promoted heavily....$129.00 per person special…go to Miami buy what you want come back and screw the local wholesaler and retailer then Government chastises the business sector for not expanding and employing more people? Guess why, Mr PM?

Even Eye witness News News Editor has been taken hook line and sinker promoting the service the fact that Nassau residents can shop til they put local business out of business that’s Christmas in October!

I thought the FNM was funded and supported by the ex-UBP faction?

A serious decision of someone....... Revenue lost from Abaco and Grand Bahama $200 million plus and this? Government should be at least shortfall, two-years be reducing the returning resident Duty Exemption to $500.00 per person and that is high (some $150m a year exemption revenue lost!)

Financial you want to reduce VAT earnings more? Brilliant!
