Cruise line partners to boost Bahamas travel

Royal Caribbean International has teamed with a company representing 50,000 North American travel agents to launch an exclusive offer supporting travel to The Bahamas.

The cruise line has partnered with the Travel Leaders Group to provide consumers with up to $100 in onboard spending money on its voyages that visit Nassau and/or Perfect Day experience at Coco Cay in the Berry Islands.

“Our partners at Royal Caribbean have been absolutely extraordinary in their support for The Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian,” said Ninan Chacko, Travel Leaders Group’s chief executive.

“At Travel Leaders Group, we are committed to providing aid and fostering travel to The Bahamas as well. This special offer from Royal Caribbean will help our tens of thousands of travel advisors promote Bahamas cruises to their clients.”

The offer can be combined with most Royal Caribbean promotions, and can only be booked through a travel advisor affiliated with Travel Leaders Network, Nexion Travel Group, Tzell Travel Group, Protravel International and ALTOUR.

These are all units of Travel Leaders Group, which is billed as the largest retail travel agency organisation in North America. The initiative is part of a larger Travel Helps The Bahamas campaign (see article on Page 3B) being conducted by Travel Leaders Group, which includes fundraising for humanitarian aid and a broad effort to encourage travel to The Bahamas.

Bonus spending money of $100 per stateroom will be offered for suite reservations. This will be trimmed to $50 per stateroom for balcony accommodations; and $25 per stateroom for interior and ocean view rooms.

Reservations must be made between October 1-7, 2019, for cruise departures from October 18 onward for voyages that visit Nassau and/or Perfect Day at Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean’s private island.
