AN Andros man was charged in Magistrate’s Court yesterday with murdering another man last week. Clinton Forbes, 30, stood before Magistrate Andrew Forbes charged with the death of Calvin Harrison Rolle on April 1.

According to initial reports, shortly after 2pm, police responded to the settlement of Mars Bay, South Andros after receiving reports that a male was discovered near a community park with apparent gunshot injuries to his body. Medical personnel were called but the male was pronounced dead a short time later.

Forbes was not required to enter a plea to the charge and the matter was adjourned to July 2 at 10am for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).

Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BCDS) in the interim.

Forbes, who was represented by attorney Ian Cargill, has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
