A 17-year-old boy was among three people charged with shop breaking and stealing yesterday.

The trio appeared in Magistrate’s Court in Grand Bahama.

Deondre Mallory, of Trotter Avenue, and Angelo Rolle, of Columbus Drive, both 18, were charged together, while the minor was charged separately before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbie Ferguson.

They were charged in connection with a complaint made to police on Monday, April 13, when thieves broke into a major sporting goods store.

The minor pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded to the Simpson Penn School for Boys. The matter is adjourned to June 30 for trial.

Mallory and Rolle also pleaded not guilty to the charges. They were remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until June 30 for trial.

In other court matters, Gilbert Bastian, a 39-year-old resident of Hearn Lane, Freeport, was charged with two counts of stealing and possession of proceeds of a criminal conduct.

The charges stem from a complaint made to police on April 14. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional services until June 30 for trial.
