The Masters Softball League continued its regular season action over the weekend at the Archdeacon William Thompson Softball Park at the Southern Recreation Grounds.
Here’s a look at the summaries of the games played:
Da Boyz 35, Corner Boys 8: Winning pitcher Vernon Clarke helped his own cause by producing a perfect 5-for-5 day with three home runs and four runs batted in (RBI).
The losing pitcher was Cleon Hepburn. Joe McPhee led their attack by going 2-for-3.
ABC Truckers 37, Pearl Island Pirates 18: Gaye Knowles was the winning pitcher. Gary ‘Super’ Johnson had a perfect 4-for-4 day with three home runs and nine RBI.
The losing pitcher was Philip Paul, who went 3-for-3 with two homers and eight RBI.
The league will be back in action this weekend with games on tap on Saturday and Sunday.
