All quiet on Oban

EDITOR, The Tribune

Have you noticed the OPM-FNM is not talking about that OBAN deal whilst Freeport is so desperately looking for employment and investment? Strange I hope not as the AG should be looking at prosecutions and Ministerial resignations but you know how we go.

OBAN is an immediate rejection for the obvious reasons.

Bahamas Petroleum and their licensed first drill - coming folks very soon and so little is being talked. Will they? Look at Guyana and Surname but Cuba right close to where Bahamas Petroleum plan to drill failed and failed.

What if? What is going to be the FNM policy…they inherited the MOU so what do they establish if oil is found and found in a commercial supply is going to be the FNM’s decision. Least we forget from the day the well is a find it takes approx…six - seven years to go commercial that is pumping and earning so that is way beyond the 2022 election and into another.

BP&L…was there 100% compliance with the Regulations concerning the RFP of September, 2017 for the 80MW standbys? 80MW grew to 115MW with no further RFP…who cares. Why in the BP&L plan there is no reusable for New Providence the only commercial approach to lower our bills? We need to know? BPL hiding something?
