Pay rules for holiday

THE Cabinet has announced that tomorrow, a Public Holiday, is being observed as Majority Rule Day. As a result, stores wishing to do so may open for business during normal business hours. However, employers are to note that employees who are normally not required to work on holidays, must be paid wages in accordance with section 10 (a) of the Employment Act.
