THE country recorded its fourth murder of the year yesterday evening when a man was killed on Montgomery Avenue off Carmichael Road. Officers received reports of the shooting shortly after 7pm.
“Our information is that shortly after 7pm the victim along with others were standing on the side of the street when the occupants of a black Toyota Passo pulled through the corner and opened fire in the direction of the men, hitting the victim,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Shanta Knowles said.
Paramedics pronounced the man, believed to be between 35 and 40, dead on the scene.
