Another 114 Haitians are expelled from country

THE Department of Immigration expelled more than 100 Haitians on Saturday.

According to a press release, the group of 114 Haitians left New Providence on a Bahamasair flight at 7.30am to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, escorted by a team of law enforcement officers. This group included 85 men, 27 women and two minors.

The department said it will continue its commitment to carrying out the mandates of the agency to combat illegal migration by establishing effective border control management in compliance with the country’s laws.
