NPBA: Mingoes stop Rebels 83-70

THE University of The Bahamas Mingoes never trailed against the Patmor Rebels in NPBA action Monday and led by as much as 15 points en route to the 83-70 victory at the AF Adderley Gym on Monday night.

Mingoes had a balanced offensive campaign - Rashad Sturrup had 12 points, Daniel Hall also had nine points and Tyler Moncur hit three three-pointers for nine points as well.

“We came out a bit shaky, but at the end of the day we executed and we remained disciplined,” Sturrup said. “We worked good on offence but we could’ve done a little better on defence.”

Joseph added that the team is still working on a few things as the season winds down.

“Coach was trying out some new things, trying out some new plays and that had guys mixed up a bit,” he said. “We started a new line-up and everything so we were just trying to get some things done and see how they work out.”
