My thanks to Victoria

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Please allow a space in your great daily, regarding Her Majesty Queen Victoria.

Thanking God for Queen Victoria, for stopping slavery in her kingdom, a lucrative business and with a small percentage of white people taking sides. It must have been risky and high tension. Perhaps, the delaying, hoping Her Majesty would be revoked, slavery still existed among the tribal community.

In the movies you see black people as slaves, others were slaves also. During Biblical days kings would take the living into captivity, with gold and other precious items, after burning their kingdom.

Perhaps, black people, as a race, was the last going into slavery. St Paul told slaves to obey your masters. Yes slavery is over, slaves did suffer, fought, revolted, died and escaped, They are our heroes. We are recipient.

The Bahamas is so successful, there are hundreds of black doctors and lawyers, some are giving up that famous title and becoming MPs, Senators, Speakers, Cabinet Ministers and Prime Minister, Business, Banks, Tourism, etc, etc. that other nations are coming to enjoy. A well trained high tech Police and Defence Force. A christian nation with Archbishops, Bishops and Pastors. Passing by Queen Victoria's statue as a freed nation.

Thanks very much Editor.
