A WOMAN is dead after a traffic accident in New Providence on Wednesday night.
Police said the accident took place shortly before 9pm on Wednesday.
Around that time, a white Toyota and a teal Mitsubishi Colt collided on Fox Hill Road south. The driver of the Mitsubishi Colt was severely injured at the scene. She was transported to hospital and later died of her injuries.
This is the second traffic related death in less than a week.
On Sunday, a 16-year-old resident of Fox Town, Abaco was tragically killed by a motorist while walking home after playing basketball.
Zion Wellington Clarke was thrown several feet into bushes after being hit by a “speeding car” on the S C Bootle Highway shortly after 10pm. He died at the scene.
Police said the driver initially left the scene, but later returned. Investigations into both incidents continue.
