TWO men and a teenager were charged with armed robbery when they appeared in Magistrates Court yesterday.
Antonio Jenour, 39, David Griffin, 48, and a 17-year-old boy appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt after they were accused of robbing Chen Sheung with a black handgun on October 28. The prosecution said the $435 they stole belonged to Peardale Supermarket.
During the hearing, none of the defendants were required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to February 2 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
They were denied bail and remanded to prison until that time.
All of the defendants have a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
Yesterday, the 17-year-old was also charged with two additional counts of armed robbery.
The prosecution argued the defendant used a handgun to rob JCF Supermarket of $2,169.67, on October 21. They further argued he stole $800 from Leom Fong Food Store on October 26.
Magistrate Ferguson- Pratt said the youngster will be presented with a VBI for those offences on February 2 as well.
In the meantime, the teenager was denied bail and remanded into custody.
