A 26-year-old man was charged with rape in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Percival Taylor, 26, of Sunset, Freeport, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson.
It is alleged that on April 10, at Freeport, the accused had sexual intercourse with a 44-year-old woman without her consent.
Carlson Shurland represented Taylor, who was not required to enter a plea to the charge. The case was adjourned to July 26.
He was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
