THE Parcel Post Section of the General Post Office in Town Centre Mall will be closed for two weeks due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the entire section will be closed to allow the staff to quarantine,” a press release issued on Friday noted. “The postmaster general wishes to apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused due to this sudden closure.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also advised that the Consular Division at Charlotte House on Shirley Street was closed on Friday for cleaning after a positive COVID-19 case at the office. Full COVID-19 mitigation protocols in accordance with the Ministry of Health have been implemented, the ministry said.
The office is expected to reopen today.
