Couple arrested after marijuana find

A FREEPORT couple were arrested by police following the discovery of suspected marijuana at a residence on Friday.

Superintendent of Police Stephen Rolle reported the male and female residents of South Bahamia were taken into custody and are assisting police with their investigations.

According to reports, shortly after 3pm on Friday a team of officers from the Predator Unit, acting on information, executed a search warrant at a residence on Schooner Lane.

Officers searched the residence and discovered 13 foil wrappings with suspected marijuana in a western bedroom. As a result, a man and woman were arrested.

Supt Rolle said investigations are continuing into the matter.
