A 45-year-old man who denied abducting a teenage girl who was reported missing was yesterday granted bail ahead of his trial.
Marvin Beneby appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle Davis charged with the abduction of an unmarried person after prosecutors alleged he abducted a 16-year-old girl sometime between July 5 and August 5.
During his hearing yesterday, he pleaded not guilty to the offence and the matter was adjourned to October 27 trial.
Beneby was granted $5,000 bail in the interim.
