TWO teenagers were remanded to prison accused of robbing a man of $300 worth of jewellery earlier this month.

Prosecutors said Deshawn Charlot, 18, and a 17-year-old boy used a knife to rob Nelson Brown, Jr, of a $250 gold chain and $50 gold ring on August 2.

During their arraignment before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt, they were not required to enter a plea. They return to court on December 14 to be served with their voluntary bill of indictments (VBI).

In the meantime, Charlot was remanded to prison while the juvenile was taken to the Simpson Penn Centre for Boys.

They both have a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
