RBC’s awful customer service

EDITOR, The Tribune

I nominate RBC for the “Worst Customer Service of the Year Award.”

My VISA debit card expires this month. I have visited the bank several times a week for the last few weeks at various hours and the line stretches to Modernistic Pet Store, even when its real time tracker shows the branch is “Less busy than usual.”

Seniors and others are left to queue in the sweltering heat in a line that doesn’t seem to move. There is nowhere to sit and no available restrooms.

The customers are hot and some suffer from back and leg pain.

Most customers don’t have hours to stand on line to pick up a card simply so they can continue to access their own bank accounts

What’s worse, we are in the middle of a pandemic and trying to avoid this type of situation. It is truly a disgrace.

I wouldn’t treat my dog like this, so why is RBC treating its customers in such a terrible manner?

With so much technology, why don’t they dedicate a station to card collection so people can book an online appointment to collect their card instead of treating us like cattle?
