A TEENAGER was charged with killing in the course of dangerous driving yesterday.

Police said Halleyandrea Feliz, 18, caused the death of Wilbur Duvalier on August 1 when she drove her vehicle west along Queen’s Highway, Exuma in a manner that was dangerous to the public.

The teen is also accused of driving without a valid driver’s licence and without being covered by third party risk insurance.

Feliz denied the allegations during her arraignment before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans and the matter was adjourned to March 10, 2022 for trial.

The accused was granted $10,000 bail until that time. As part of the conditions of her release, she must sign in to the Carmichael Road police station weekly on or before 7pm.

If she fails to comply, she could risk having her bail revoked and being remanded until the start of the proceedings.
