A 27-year-old man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday with murder.

Khristen Francis appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt charged with the shooting death of Drew Storr on November 28.

According to initial police reports, shortly after 2am that day, police were called to Three Island Road, Eleuthera, where an adult male was found lying in the street unresponsive.

When officers arrived, they were directed to where the body was discovered and observed injuries on the victim consistent with gunshot wounds.

The local doctor later pronounced the victim dead.

Due to the nature of the charge, Francis was not required to enter a plea and his matter was adjourned to 2022 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).

In the meantime, the accused was denied bail and remanded into custody.

He has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
